Itinerary
Day 01 – Arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport → Colombo (Approx. 50 min | 40 km)

🚴♂️ Participation:
All participants should be in good physical health and capable of moderate cycling activity (40–70 km per day). Riders participate at their own risk and should follow the guide’s safety instructions at all times. -
🚲 Bicycles & Equipment:
Bicycles, helmets, and basic repair tools are provided by Sign of Lanka. Participants are responsible for using the equipment with care. Any loss or damage caused by negligence will be charged at cost. -
🚐 Support Vehicle:
A back-up vehicle will accompany the group for mechanical support, first aid, and transport assistance. In case of fatigue or technical issues, guests may travel in the vehicle. -
🛠️ Mechanical Assistance:
Minor repairs (punctures, chain adjustments, etc.) will be handled by the support crew. Major breakdowns will be managed through bike replacement or mechanical backup when possible. -
🌦️ Weather & Route Changes:
Sign of Lanka reserves the right to alter routes or schedules due to weather conditions, road closures, or safety concerns. Alternate arrangements of equal value will be provided when necessary. -
🩺 Insurance:
Basic insurance coverage is included. However, participants are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel and medical insurance covering cycling activities, accidents, and personal belongings. -
🕓 Timings & Transfers:
Cycling distances and durations may vary based on fitness levels, weather, and traffic. Transfers between destinations are arranged in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. -
💰 Payments & Cancellations:
Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of the advance payment. Cancellation charges apply as per Sign of Lanka’s policy and depend on the number of days prior to departure. -
📋 Liability:
While every care is taken to ensure safety, Sign of Lanka will not be held liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to property during the tour, except where caused by proven negligence. -

Participants are expected to respect local customs, wildlife, and the environment. Littering or disruptive behavior is strictly prohibited.

🧥 Fitness Level:
A moderate level of fitness is recommended. Daily rides range from 40–70 km with a mix of flat and hill-country terrain. -
🚴♂️ Cycling Gear:
High-quality bicycles, helmets, and repair tools will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own helmet, padded shorts, gloves, or pedals if preferred. -
👕 What to Wear:
Comfortable, breathable clothing suitable for cycling. A light rain jacket, sun hat, and sunscreen are recommended. -
💧 Hydration & Snacks:
Each rider will receive bottled mineral water daily. Additional energy snacks and electrolyte drinks are available upon request or can be purchased locally. -
🧳 Luggage & Support:
A support vehicle will follow throughout the cycling route to carry luggage, spare bikes, first-aid supplies, and provide assistance when needed. -
☀️ Weather:
Sri Lanka enjoys warm tropical weather year-round. The best cycling conditions are from November to April in the west and south, and May to September in the hill country and east. -
🩺 Health & Safety:
A first-aid kit is available in the support vehicle. Please inform your guide of any medical conditions or dietary needs in advance. -
🪙 Payments & Tips:
Meals, personal expenses, and tips for guides or drivers are not included in the tour price. Gratuities are at your discretion. -
🧘♂️ Respect Local Culture:
Dress modestly when visiting temples and religious sites. Remove shoes and hats before entering sacred areas. -

Sri Lanka is a photographer’s paradise! Always ask permission before taking photos of local people or inside temples.
